Observations and performances by students themselves, both through an informal process and evaluation revealed that the majority of participating students exhibited discipline problems and suffered with low self-esteem.

Houston All-Stars, in 2002, invited a variety of conflict resolution programs, as well as, various other artists from the community who were able to utilize a number of atisitic disciplines such as; art mediation, photography, dance, drama, music, etc.. The purpose of these programs was to give each student an opportunity to exhibit creative technigues, and demonstrate the proficiency of beginning and completing a task.
